What the badges mean
Every profile on PusoKo is reviewed by a real person before it goes live. On top of that, each member shows one of two phone security badges, so you know how they use PusoKo.
Face ID secured
The member uses the PusoKo app on their phone and unlocked it with Face ID (or Touch ID, a fingerprint or face unlock on Android) in the last 30 days. Each time, Apple or Google confirms to us that it’s our genuine app on a real, unmodified phone, not an emulator or a tampered copy. The app also asks for Face ID whenever it opens, so a borrowed or stolen phone can’t be used to read or send their messages.
- It shows the account is tied to a real phone that its owner unlocks.
- It does not confirm who someone is, their name, age or intentions. Your phone never sends us your face or fingerprint: Apple and Google keep those on the phone.
- One phone can secure only one PusoKo account.
Web member
The member uses PusoKo in a web browser, or hasn’t opened the app in the last 30 days. Plenty of genuine people use the website. It just means we can’t check their phone the way the app can, so take the usual care.
Getting the Face ID badge
Install the PusoKo app, sign in, and go to Settings → Phone security badge. Your badge renews each time you unlock the app.
Whatever badge someone has, never send money, gift cards or crypto to anyone you meet online. See our safety tips.
